I Have Good Taste

Obviously not for a party, but incredible for vibing out.

James Blake: I Only Know (What I Know Now)

Upon discovery of this song, I discovered this. Obviously I was intrigued.

The Hood Internet: I Only Know (I'm Single)

Seeking Sunlight

He's on a serious tear right now.

Adrian Lux - Teenage Crime (Original Mix) (Link Repaired)

I Think I Like You Too

It's a great feeling, no? to be able to say to someone hey, I think I like you too!

This is a simple song with a simple message but it feels great every time.

Jamaica - I Think I Like U 2 (Breakbot Remix) - right click, save as

Some more Breakbot for you. But this one is for after you and whoever it is you like too get together and start figuring things out on a little bit of a deeper level.

A Sunday Slowdown wouldn't be the same without a little bit of love from my favorite Swedish producer: Odahl. Though this track doesn't quite fit into the "slowdown" category, it should get you nonetheless. Songs without vocals/lyrics are like those children's books I'm sure you've all seen at one point. The books without any words, just pictures - and you (or whoever was reading to you at the time) get to make up the story as you go. Though some basic elements may remain the same the beauty is that each time you "read" the book it's a new story. Oh, and this story is remixed by none other than Diamond Cut, who has put out some stellar remixes in the past.

Odahl - Hello Hello (Diamond Cut Remix) - right click, save as

I'll wrap it up with a little Grum. This one is for when your story goes awry or whoever you liked too doesn't really like you. It happens, though and the best way (clearly) to get it out of your system is to dance it out, I guess. At least I think that's what this song is trying to tell me.

Fenech Soler - Lies (Grum Remix) - right click, save as

The sun may rise in the east at least it's settled in a final location and with it we here on the west coast must go also. May your meeting tomorow with these songs be pleasant, may your dancefloors be neon-lit and bright. However you choose to enjoy your holidays, just remember to keep the playlist going.

The G Mix

He officially made it.

Wiz Khalifa ft. Snoop Dogg, Juicy J & T-Pain: Black & Yellow

Take my Hand Again. Run away Run away

You've heard (thanks to djshizzybaby) Bromance.

You've also now heard Set me Free (Avicii Remix).

What happens when the two collide?

Fireworks! Supernovas! An amazing title that is both a plead and a revelation. Bromance, Set me Free!

Avicii vs Phonat - Bromance Set me Free (G.reg Bootleg)

Yes, looking back on it all now I can truly say, bromance set me free.

Dreams Are Real

Axwell, Avicii & Sebastian truly are a mafia.

Phonat: Set Me Free (Avicii Remix)

I don't care how much Vampire Weekend is obviously influenced by Paul Simon, I like them. Right click and save this one.

Vampire Weekend: The Kids Don't Stand A Chance (Miike Snow Remix)

GLOVES would be a dream live show. Gold & money are nice too.

World's End Press: Faithful (GLOVES China White Mix)

This song and video are both sweet.

Phonat: Love Hits The Fan

Phonat: Set Me Free

Legends

The coolest thing about legends is that while they are very real, once they achieve legendary status, they seem mythical. Here are three living legends before they attained that status. Obviously, one can see why they did.

Lil Wayne: Boom Bap

Roland Clark & The Montanas: Music Talking (Fred Falke Remix)

Cyclone

The only way to get your hands on this incredible new tune right now is to buy it at:

Shinichi Osawa: Cyclone

$2 extremely well worth it.

The Horrorrr

Holy Guacomole! That video's gonna be amazing, if you chose not to download the B.o.B. mixtape because you're annoying, here's a song to give you reason to reconsider.

B.o.B. ft. Playboy Tre, Prince Cyhi & Bun B: Higher

T.I.'s album came out today, so dope. You should get the whole thing, here's the outro track, real deep.

T.I. ft. Christina Aguilera: Castle Walls

Keep chasing the sun

Blind To The Fact

Wow! The leak of Strobe Lights that came out before is nothing like the final CDQ. Unreal, Diddy! Weezy!

Diddy ft. Weezy F: Strobe Lights

Physical

I have no idea what the Amsterdam train station has anything to do with this song, but I like the picture.

I don't want you swooning, I don't care what's in your piggy bank... I just want your physical - I think that's another way of saying I just want to have sex, but I could be wrong.

Radio INK - Physical (GLOVES Remix)

If this doesn't get you through your mid-week crisis, then I don't know what to tell you except maybe wait on it and bring it up again this weekend.

Let Your Colors Burst

Loving both of these songs very much. Right click and save both of these

Katy Perry: Firework (Fred Falke Club Remix)

Robyn: Dancehall Queen

This video also just fits the vibe of my imagination

Poppin Bottles

Wayne is the prophet so despite a T.I. Drizzy song, he gets the photo. I love real ill rap songs with very stereotypical of the genre titles. Culture is beautiful.

Tip & Drizzy: Poppin Bottles

Also, how is Wiz Khalifa rappin on this beat before the song is released. Dare I say an early cut for a remix?

Clairvoyance

Wiz Khalifa: Real Estate

Slim Thug ft. Weezy: Fuck You

Chasing

Sorry for the somewhat prolonged absence. I'd throw out a few excuses but the reality is I've just been busy chasing suburban waterfalls - in the off chance you were worried.

Thankfully djshizzybaby lives up to his name and manages to keep the link list up and running with both quality and quantity. In an attempt to climb back onto a more regular posting rung, I'm going to throw this out for you in hopes that there will be fewer days between posts from here on out.

To waterfalls:

El Perro Del Mar - Change of Heart (What Kind of Breeze do you Blow? Remix)

Day Of Delight

A birdy told me that Fred actually drove to 2010 in a Delorean straight from Studio 54 with a mission to bring disco back to the mainstream. That birdy was not a Turkey. Holla!

No Stage Fright

Dunno if it's new or old, but it's unheard. My guess is old based off the flow, don't mean that it's not dope, cuz it is.

Animal Love

So this song doesn't get released until December 12th, but Fred was kind enough to post the video. I hate ripping audio off of youtube, but if that's the only option, I'll do it.

BURNS & Fred Falke: Y.S.L.M (You Stopped Loving Me)

A special thank you to a friend for helping me unearth this. Gonna be listening to it on repeat all day. #Love

Avicii Vs. TV Rock, Axwell, Live Element: Bromance In The Air (Tristan Garner Bootleg)

Also, always meant to post this, and just forgot. The videos are so awesome, but Targa was definitely the best song, not the other two aren't amazing, I'll post their mp3's in another post later. I gotta go live right now.

Russ Chimes: Targa

Gorgeous

Last one I'll post from Dark Twisted Fantasy. Definitely picking up a CD copy of this one.

Kanye West ft. KiD CuDi: Gorgeous

Embrace the Night

The days are getting shorter, leaves are falling, etc. Let's not fight the waning days and but embrace the night.

Gemini Club - Ghost (Barresto Remix)

Tonight I'll cool you down...

Super Mal - Rock the Night (Lenno Remix)

And where would a post about embracing the night be without everyone's favorite nighttime French disco dancefloor king?

Florrie - Fascinate Me (Fred Falke Edit)

She's hot, she's got some amazing sounds, and the remixes of her band's e-lec-tron-ic disco moves have knocked me off my feet time and time again.

I'll be honest - I'm saving my favorite for last. There's something about a song that repeats the same vocals over and over but is still able to captivate and move that always gets me. It's funny how a song about heartbreak can be so upbeat. I suppose it's a musical illustration of that old "when one door closes another opens" metaphor everyone loves to spit out when something shitty happens. Funny part is the rest of the quotation reads: "but we often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us."

Get up and start looking forward. Don't gaze longingly at the sunset babycakes - just embrace the night.

BURNS and Fred Falke - You Stopped Loving Me (Y.S.L.M) (Treasure Fingers Remix)

Scream N Shout

Monday son.

If you don't like to ill, don't download these songs.

Theophilus London ft. Blue & Jesse Boykins III: Life Of A Lover Remix

Kelis: Scream (Russ Chimes Remix)

She's baaaaaack. This shit will get remixed a lot, we'll see who wins.

Lykke Li: Get Some

The Show Goes On

It's Friday.

And on Fridays after a long week - whether good or bad, eventful or dull - it's important to remember that, yes, ultimately we'd love to live to work because it means we love what we do but for the time being it's okay to work to live and either way come Friday it's important to take a step back and remember those dreams you have.

And who knows? Maybe someday they won't be dreams any. more.

Lupe Fiasco - The Show Goes On

Lupe invoking Modest Mouse? Weird combination but I'll take it. And play it again.

And again

And again.

It's Friday - go do Something

Ashin Kusher

Osawa-San

Shinichi Osawa has probably been my favorite DJ on the planet for 2 years now. Aside from making some of my favorite songs of all time, what really stands out about him is the originality of his sound. It's so complex and crazy that it seems like it shouldn't be rhythmic, but it is, and you can't help but get lost in the either frenzied/high-energy or subdued/dreamy fantasy world he creates. As an added bonus, he is an unbelievable live performer. I've only had the pleasure of seeing him perform once, yet it remains my favorite DJ set to date. The raw energy and passion unleashed during his spontaneous set was unlike anything I had ever experienced before.

Gucci!

Brenton Duvall, the dude who did the Ambien Trip Wayne remix, is back with another hott edit using some lyrics from Gucci!

Brenton Duvall ft. Gucci Mane: That's All

My intro to Gilbere was on the Yeezy Alors On Danse remix. That song is so ill, no reason to not trust him right now. On top of that, Florence sample and Yeasayer on a remix, can't be bad...and it isn't.

Florence and The Machine ft. Gilbere Forte: Dog Days Are Over (Yeasayer Remix)
