Osawa-San

Shinichi Osawa has probably been my favorite DJ on the planet for 2 years now. Aside from making some of my favorite songs of all time, what really stands out about him is the originality of his sound. It's so complex and crazy that it seems like it shouldn't be rhythmic, but it is, and you can't help but get lost in the either frenzied/high-energy or subdued/dreamy fantasy world he creates. As an added bonus, he is an unbelievable live performer. I've only had the pleasure of seeing him perform once, yet it remains my favorite DJ set to date. The raw energy and passion unleashed during his spontaneous set was unlike anything I had ever experienced before.
